The app records missing storefront paths, event timestamps, sanitized referrers, locale, country code, selected UTM campaign fields, device category, and bot classification. IP addresses are converted immediately into a one-way, shop-scoped HMAC and are never stored in raw form. The app does not store storefront cookies, logged-in customer IDs, or complete user-agent strings.
Data is used only to show merchants which missing pages receive traffic, recommend valid same-store destinations, prevent abuse, and create redirects after merchant confirmation. Event details are retained for up to 90 days by default; daily aggregates are retained for up to 13 months. Merchants can choose shorter periods in the app.
The app reads published products, collections, pages, articles, and URL redirects to build a destination index. It writes URL redirects only after explicit merchant confirmation. Sidekick tools can read summaries and prepare previews but cannot publish redirects.
Background jobs stop when the app is uninstalled. Shop-owned application data is deleted when Shopify sends the required shop redaction request.
